Clinical Solution for Disease of Both the Patellofemoral Joint and Distal Condyles During One Procedure

On Monday July 27th at 7:00pm EDT Zimmer Inc. will present an ORLive webcast of a partial knee replacement surgery involving the implant of prosthetic devices on both the patellofemoral joint and a distal condyle. The Zimmer joint replacement system can be deployed for both installations and uses a guided milling structure that provides the torque and precision for repeatable procedures. This bicompartmental solution has been tested for daily load bearing stress and is designed for conversion to a total knee arthroplasty.

James Wood, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon from Harbor Hospital in Baltimore Maryland will perform the surgery. The webcast will be moderated by Jess Lonner, MD Orthopedic Surgeon from University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. During the procedure, the doctors will provide instructional insight on the use of this system and also a wider perspective on the state of knee replacement technology. Viewers can email their questions directly to the doctors in the OR during the live webcast.
