On Tuesday, February 17, see how transesophageal echocardiogram, or TEE is used to detect blood clots, masses and tumors inside the heart during a live webcast from Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Jeffrey W. Bissing, DO, will perform the procedure and will be joined by moderator William S. Ritter, MD, FACC. Transesophageal echocardiograms offer a clearer image of the rear structures of the heart than a standard echo used outside the chest. Viewers are invited to e-mail questions to the doctors during procedure.
