What is SAGES
SAGES ( The Society of American Gastrointestinal Surgeons) was founded in 1981 to foster, promote,support and encourage academic, clinical and research achievements in gastrointestinal endoscopic surgery. SAGES currently boasts more than 6,000 general surgeon members from countries around the world. The SAGES annual meeting is oriented toward minimally invasive surgery and in 2009 had attendance of more than 2,100 surgeons.
