Dr. Williams graduated from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania with honors and received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
A noted instructor, Dr. Williams formerly served as Chief of the Shoulder and Elbow Service as well as the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery for the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Williams is a shoulder specialist with the Rothman Institute of Pennsylvania. He has held positions on the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Directors along with the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Williams has been elected to Philadelphia's Top Doctors twice and Best Doctors in America in 1996 and 1998. He also was awarded the Jesse T. Nicholson Teaching Award by the University of Pennsylvania Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
