Dr. Robert Venick is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. Having trained at UCLA, Dr. Venick has been a part of the intestinal failure, and the liver and intestinal transplant team at UCLA over the past several years. His clinical research has centered around nutrition in patients with short bowel syndrome as well as in liver and intestinal transplant recipients. Dr. Venick has received NIH funding and funding from the American Society of Transplantation for his research in transplant-related pharmacogenomics. He has received recognition as a promising young investigator from the International Liver Transplantation Society as well as the International Small Bowel Transplantation Symposium. Dr. Venick is pleased to represent UCLA as the site investigator for the Pediatric Intestinal Failure Consortium (PIFCon).
