Neal Rockowitz, MD, will moderate the total hip replacement procedure with the Tri-Lock® Bone Preservation Stem through the Direct Anterior Approach. Dr. Rockowitz is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in treating joint problems of the knees, hips and shoulders. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA, and a Medical Degree from McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Canada. His orthopaedic surgery residency was fulfilled at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. Dr. Rockowitz then completed a fellowship in joint replacement surgery with the renowned joint-replacement surgeon, Dr. Richard Rothman, at Pennsylvania Hospital and Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Rockowitz was recruited to establish the first orthopaedic surgeon department for the Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge in Louisiana. Dr. Rockowitz relocated his orthopaedic practice to Phoenix in 1989. Dr. Rockowitz is a member of the design team of surgeons who developed the Tri-Lock Bone Preservation Stem, which launched earlier this year, and he performs the Anterior Approach for Total Hip Replacement.
