Dr. Robey earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC in 1980 after receiving his B.S. from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC in 1976. He completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA in 1985.

Dr.Robey is board certified by the American Board of Urology.As a Urologic Surgeon,Dr.Robey has a special interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic urologic surgery, including the management of kidney stone disease and transplant urologic surgery including laparoscopic nephrectomy.

As a Major in the United States Air Force, Dr.Robey served as Staff Urologist from 1985-1988. Since then he has been in private practice, as well as serving as Assistant professor in the Department of Urology at EVMS in Norfolk, VA, and Faculty Advisor at EVMS since 1988. Among the numerous professional associations to which Dr. Robey is a member are the Medical Society of Virginia, Virginia Urological Society, and the American Medical Association.
