Angelo Reyes, MD is the Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at both the Beth Israel Medical Center – Petrie Division (Manhattan) and the Beth Israel Medical Center – Kings Highway Division (Brooklyn). Dr. Reyes specializes in thoracic oncology, video-assisted (minimally invasive) thoracic surgery, surgery for diseases of the esophagus, surgical management of diseases of the chest wall and diaphragm, surgery for the treatment of hyperhidrosis, and thoracic access for orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures. In 2000, Dr. Reyes performed the first video-assisted, minimally invasive lung lobectomy at Saint Vincent’s Hospital – Manhattan. Dr. Reyes is board-certified in both General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He completed his General Surgery residency at the Montefiore/Einstein Medical Center in the Bronx, NY (1997). His cardiothoracic fellowship was performed at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ (2000).
