Vascular Specialist Surgeon
Dr. Panneton, a native of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada, received his medical degree from the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He completed both his general surgery residency (1992) and his first vascular surgery fellowship (1993) at the University of Montreal. Dr. Panneton went on to complete a second vascular surgery fellowship (1994) at the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and a third vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Glasgow, Scotland (1995). Dr. Panneton has been Board-certified in general vascular surgery since 1996. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
In 2004 Dr. Panneton came to Vascular & Transplant Specialists from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he was an Associate Professor of Surgery as well as Consultant and Director of Clinical Research for the Division of Vascular Surgery. While developing a very active surgical practice at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Panneton found time to lecture, present and publish widely on a range of open and endovascular surgery topics, including repair of thoracic aneurysms and innovative approaches to limb salvage. He brings special expertise in redo aortic surgery, complex arch vessel reconstruction and thoracic endografting.
Dr. Panneton, an avid boater, resides with his family in Norfolk, Virginia.
