Dr.Moy is a graduate of the University of California in Berkeley, CA. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City. Dr.Moy trained in general surgery at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA where he also completed a surgical oncology research fellowship.

He continued his medical education with residency training in cardiothoracic surgery at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY, and in 1989 he completed fellowship training in thoracic surgical oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston,TX.

From 1989 until 1994, Dr.Moy held an appointment as a clinical assistant professor with the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. During that same five-year
period, he also served as chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar,CA, and chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Sepulveda VA Medical Center, in Sepulveda,CA.

Dr.Moy is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Sentara CarePlex Hospital and on several hospital committees. His areas of special interest include thoracic surgical oncology.
