Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Minas is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Cartilage Repair Center. Dr. Minas is an internationally recognized leader in cartilage repair and autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI). The Cartilage Repair Center, which Dr. Minas founded over a decade ago, continues to be the leading center for cartilage treatment in the world. He serves on the Executive Committee of the International Cartilage Repair Society as well as the Cartilage Research Foundation. Dr. Minas has published numerous articles in the field of cartilage repair and has a strong focus on joint preservation in the young adult. He performs arthroscopic surgery of the knee and hip, total and partial joint replacements, and joint preserving osteotomies.
