Dr. McCrea is the lead author of the Standardized Assessment of Concussion (SAC). Currently, he is the head of Neuropsychology Service at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and is on the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Department of Neurology. He has served as a neuropsychological consultant to the Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks. The recipient of more than a dozen grants, Dr. McCrea's research has focused on investigations into injury assessment, return to play, and outcome following concussion for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Football League (NFL) Charities. He frequently lectures on sports concussion and has authored numerous book chapters and other publications.
