Dr. Peter D. McCann, a nationally recognized shoulder and elbow surgeon, is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, the premier international professional society of surgeons dedicated to foster and advance the science and practice of shoulder and elbow care. He is also a member of The American Orthopedic Association, the oldest national orthopedic association in the world. Dr. McCann is also an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. McCann is a reviewer for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and is Editor-in-Chief of The American Journal of Orthopedics, one of the most widely circulated professional journals in orthopedic surgery with a monthly circulation of 30,000. He has authored nearly fifty articles and chapters in textbooks, and is the co-editor of Sports Medicine, a comprehensive 782-page textbook on sports medicine, currently in its second edition.
