Dr. Jorde graduated magna cum laude from the Freie Universitat Hamburg Medical School in 1991. Following medical residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he joined the heart failure and transplant faculty at Columbia University Medical Center in 1999. He is the recipient of K23 and R01 awards from the National Institutes to study treatment approaches to Congestive Heart Failure, has published exetensively in this arena, and is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Cardiac Assist Device Program at Columbia University Medical Center.
