Dr. William Hellenbrand, M.D. is Director, Pediatric Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and a Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He received his medical degree at the State University of New York and trained at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American Heart Association’s Council for Cardiovascular Disease in the Young and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hellenbrand is the author of numerous research papers in the area of pediatric cardiac catheterization, including Circulation, Pediatric Research, The American Journal of Cardiology and The New England Journal of Medicine. He has also been frequently invited to lecture at conferences and symposia throughout the world. He is Co-Director of the largest Pediatric Interventional Symposia (PICS) in the world.
