Dr. Jeffrey Geller is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He trained at the New Jersey Medical School and completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Adult Joint Replacement and Reconstruction at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Specializing in arthritic disorders of the hip and knee, Dr. Geller has extensive training in joint replacements and performs surgery using some of the latest and most advanced minimally invasive techniques including hip resurfacings, partial knee replacements and gender specific female knee replacements. He performs both primary joint replacement surgery and revisions of failed joint replacements, but only after considering all non-operative treatment options. Dr. Geller also specializes in trauma of the lower extremity including hip fractures, fractures around joint replacements and fractures related to osteoporosis.

Actively involved in Orthopaedic research and education, Dr. Geller teaches medical students and residents, lectures at national Orthopaedic conferences, and has authored many textbook chapters and medical articles. As a member of the Center for Hip and Knee Reconstruction at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, he is currently conducting several large-scale research projects in some of the most advanced and relevant topics in joint reconstruction.
