Dr. Farr received his undergraduate degree in biological engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1975 where he also was awarded an honorary doctorate of Biological Engineering. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University in 1979. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center in 1986. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Farr has continued to focus his practice in sports medicine and knee restoration. His numerous appointments and affiliations include a voluntary professorship in orthopaedic surgery at Indiana University Medical Center and a board position with the Cartilage Research Foundation. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters related to the knee and cartilage and presented this information at national and international meetings.
