David Emmott, MD has been practicing in the field of urology since 1984. He received his BA degree in 1975 at the University of Oklahoma and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1979. His internship in general surgery was done at the Oklahoma University of Health Sciences Center in 1979-80, and he was assistant resident physician in general surgery from 1980 to 1981. His residency in urology was done at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1982 to 1984. Emmott has been certified by the American Board of Urology since 1986. Licensed to practice medicine in both Kansas and Missouri, he has pioneered the da VinciTM Prostatectomy in the Kansas City area. He and his partner have successfully performed over 200 da VinciTM Prostatectomies at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. His experience with robotics is unsurpassed in this region. He is also a specialist in male infertility with interest in microsurgical vasectomy reversals. |
