Orthopaedic Surgeon, Staff Physician Duluth Clinic Department of Orthopaedics

Dr. Edgerton was voted one of the Top 100 Physicians in Minnesota by his peers. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Dr. Edgerton completed seven years of postgraduate training at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he was a Master’s Program Fellow in Orthopedic Surgery, an Adult Reconstructive Fellow, and an Artificial Joint Replacement Fellow.

Dr. Edgerton specializes in total joint replacement surgery, including revision of failed hip and knee replacements; sport injuries to the knee; and foot and ankle surgery, including ankle arthroscopy and replacement.

Dr. Edgerton has received numerous awards for his academic achievements as well as his work as a physician, including an Alpha Omega Alpha designation and the Mosby Award for Outstanding Achievement in Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, as well as the Mark B. Coventry Research Award from the Department of Orthopedics at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.

Dr. Edgerton has been a member of the faculty of the University of Minnesota Duluth, School of Medicine since 1994, and continues to present to colleagues on the topics of joint replacement and orthopedic trauma. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
