Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Jeanne Cummings MSN, NP is a board certified Clinical Specialist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Department of St. Lukes and Roosevelt Hospitals. She is an adjunct clinical professor of Nursing at Columbia University, Graduate School of Nursing and has advanced training and education in Critical Incident Stress Management, International Trauma Training, EMDR, and Imago Relationship Therapy. She is a member of a local critical incident stress management team supporting fire, police and EMS in the area of work related trauma and or stress. Jeanne's philosophy of treatment involves active participation on the part of her clients resulting in partnership healthcare. Along with psychopharmacology, she incorporates a wide variety of modalities into her practice with individuals, groups and couples. Prior to her current position, Jeanne designed, implemented and directed a home based Community Mental Health Program.
