Dr. Vivek Allada is director of Clinical Services in Children’s Division of Pediatric Cardiology. He came to Children’s from Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA to participate in the continued expansion of Children’s pediatric cardiology program. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA School of Medicine. Since 2004, he has been a liaison for the American Academy of Pediatrics on the Expert Panel on Population and Prevention Science Writing Group Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in High-Risk Pediatric Populations. Dr. Allada’s clinical interests include echocardiography and coronary artery diseases in children.
