Perelman Heart Institute. On September 24th at 7:00pm EDT Dr. Andersen will host an ORlive webcast, titled “Advances and Innovations in the Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease.” The webcast will be aired live from the impressive atrium of the newly opened Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute located in the heart of the Medical Center Campus, a “medical town square” complete with a patient friendly information center and a clinical trials enrollment center. During the webcast a panel of experts from the faculty of our academic medical center will discuss a wide array of recent cardiovascular developments including the latest technological advances in left main stenting, VADs, catheter approaches for Atrial Fibrillation, and participation in the Partners Trial for Aortic Stenosis. “We believe Transcatheter therapeutics is a true game changer in the field of valvular heart disease. Demographics tell us that over 600,000 people have Aortic Stenosis that is not treatable with surgery.
