Weight-Loss Surgery - What You Should Know.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits are available to physicians who signup for a simulcast on weight-loss surgery via the Internet. Viewers will be able to ask questions online during the 60-minute webcast. A replay version of the webcast will be available for viewing at this site beginning October 21.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
1. Explain the causes of and health risks associated with obesity.
2. Compare and contrast the various treatment options for obese patients.
3. Assess the risks and benefits of weight-loss surgery for qualified patients.
4. Critique and recommend one of two proven procedures in performing weight-loss surgery.
5. Develop an appropriate post-surgery treatment plan for patientswho undergo weight-loss surgery.
