Spotlight:
Pediatric Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Symposium

The presentations were part of a three-day course that focused on new discoveries and developments concerning the etiology, pathophysiology, surgical and nonsurgical therapies and outcomes-based research for short bowel syndrome (SBS). The format of the program includes a combination of didactic sessions and interactive panel discussions in an exploration of timely and controversial issues.

The symposium was designed for pediatricians, neonatologists, transplant surgeons, gastroenterologists, pediatric surgeons, family practice physicians, nurses, dietitians, mid-level providers and parents/guardians who care for children with short bowel syndrome and small bowel intestinal transplants.
