Grand Rounds Lecture on Pediatric Trauma Treatment
Pediatrics: According to statistics, fully 90 percent of child deaths are a result of injury, or trauma. On May 1st at 8:00am in a live webcast from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Barbara Gaines, MD, director of the Benedum Pediatric Trauma Program will examine the causes of injury to kids, unique treatments and at-risk populations. In a presentation titled "Pediatric Trauma: Evaluation, Treatment and Prevention," she will underscore the differences between evaluating children with trauma and evaluating adults with trauma.
