Ductoscopy in the Doctor's Office
Most breast cancers originate in the milk ducts of the breast and thanks to an outpatient procedure called ductal lavage, early lesions that might grow into cancers can be found at a much earlier stage before invasive cancer begins. Now, breast surgeons at Beth Israel Medical Center are taking ductal lavage one step further with a new technique called mammary ductoscopy with intraductal biopsy. This procedure will be broadcast live via the Internet on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00 pm EDT.
