Hepatectomy with Radiofrequency Resection
Boston, MA –Hepatectomy, a surgical procedure used to remove sections of the liver, is an effective form of treatment for both primary liver tumors and liver tumors derived from colorectal cancer and other cancers that have spread to the liver. For this webcast, Surgeon Richard S. Swanson, MD, Surgeon in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Center at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center and Thomas E. Clancy, MD, Surgeon in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Center at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, will demonstrate an innovative technique using radiofrequency – or heat – to minimize bleeding during this procedure.
